Our Story
The New England Simcha Band was born from a shared vision by two of Boston’s leading musicians, Ariel Wyner and Itay Dayan. Looking across the Northeast landscape, they realized something vital was missing: an premier ensemble that truly understood the artistry and emotional resonance required for a Jewish wedding. Driven by passion, they founded the band to bridge that gap, combining world-class musicality with an authentic understanding of tradition to create an unparalleled celebratory experience.
Meet the Founders
Ariel Wyner
Cantor Ariel Wyner, a graduate of the Berklee College of Music, is an acclaimed composer, arranger, and multi-instrumentalist whose work has graced international tours. As the founder and bandleader of the renowned Jewish Bluegrass group Jacob’s Ladder, his artistry has been commissioned by premier institutions nationwide. Balancing his brilliant performance with his experience as a spiritual music leader, Ariel infuses every celebration with infectious energy and a traditional sound.
Itay Dayan
Clarinetist Itay Dayan is a vibrant and promising voice in modern Klezmer and global Jewish music. Graduating with excellence from both the Jerusalem Academy of Music and Dance and Boston’s New England Conservatory, Itay’s virtuosic playing bridges traditional with contemporary music. His global career includes touring with elite ensembles like the Klezmer Conservatory Band and the Israel Klezmer Orchestra.
